Album Review

You might recall the late 80's rock group White Heart. Well Billy Smiley
of that same grammy nominated group, has joined forces with ex-bassist
Dave Ellefson formerly of Megadeth to form a new band named Symphony In Red.

Symphony In Red is an album of modern day hymns. Nothing new creativity wise.
Kind of in the same vein as a Sonic Flood. Their are some good tunes on here
with some filler. If you are looking for a worship experience this album might
fill that void. I might be reviewing this one with some bias. I really have a
thing for worship music that has some kind of creative edge. This album is
sorely missing that.

Symphony In Red cover some modern worship favorites along side their own songs.
They even dared to cover the U2 song "Yahweh." Which in my opinion is one of
the weaker songs on the latest U2 album. At first I didn't like Symphony's
version but it has really grown on me. In can honestly say that I like it now. Some

of the other highlights are "Doxology", "From All That Dwells", and
"God Of Grace"

If you are a fan of modern worship music. Then you might really enjoy this one.
Especially if you aren't picky about whether it's covering new ground or not.
