Interview-
with Trey of Everyday Sunday
Hey guys this is Kristine and today I am joined by Trey of Everyday Sunday. Now how did
you guys get together and how did you come up with the name Everyday Sunday?
Trey: Everyday Sunday basically comes from the idea of living for God all the time..24/7. It was weird to hear that the
people that you see at youth group on Sunday night, were all wasted just that Friday night...and this is the idea of
living the same kind of life all the time.
How would you describe you music?
Trey: It is definitely modern rock. We kind of look at it as a fusion of many different What C.D. would we find in your
C.D. player right now?
Trey: Probably Blindside's new record called silence, they are on POD's new label.
Well my favorite song on the album is Hanging on, do you have a favorite?
Trey: They all mean a lot to me..for different reason. I would probably say the one that means the most to me
lately would be Don't Leave. It is about a friend of mines in high school, who I got to see come into our youth
group and his life totally changed. Then after awhile some other things took his focus and he kind of just walk
away from it all. It was really hard for me to see cause it did not really make sense to me..so the song was like a
prayer to God asking him never to let that happen to me. It is cool to see that this friend is now searching
again..and that God has never really left him.
Describe a day for you on tour?
Trey: Well sometimes we have to sleep in our van, but lately we have been able to stay at hotels with some
different people so that is cool. We are the new guys on the block..so its interesting. We get to the venue; we
eat lunch and set up our merch. table and do sound check. We play and hang out with the audience..we like to
talk and meet to new people. Sometimes when we get to big cities we try to go out and see the sites..so we don't
have to look at the same thing everyday.
Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?
Trey: Five years...gosh..hopefully God will take our ministry in leaps. We are just trying to build our ministy..we
aren't sure where God is taking us. A lot of things are happening..kind of mainstream things looking at us. But
whether its playing for youth groups or playing with mainstream bands...we are just excited to see where he
wants us to go.
What message would you like to give all your fans out there?
Trey: Thanks for all the support and hopefully you enjoy the album and you can relate to it. Hopefully you'll
come out and meet us soon!
