Album Reviews
I
reviewed Tree63's Life
and Times of Absolute Truth in late 2002. That project
was more of a "regular" album, but with The
Answer To The Question, the trio from South Africa
returns to the modern worship genre. Most of the songs are
original, but their cover of Blessed Be Your Name is
my favorite version of that instant classic.
Unlike some modern worship projects, The Answer To The
Question offers a pleasing variety of styles. Happily,
most of the songs are high-energy anthems of praise. This
record will provide plenty of listening time for fans of
Tree63, Delirious? and anyone else who appreciates
guitar-driven modern worship.

Greatly
anticipared over the last few years, 'The Life And Times
Of Absolute Truth' has arrived! A different band
member(another one?), a slightly matured sound, and the
same great lyrics and song writing we tree63 fans have
come to expect! And I for one am not disappointed, I'm
sure I am not alone. The cd starts fast with songs like
All hands and glorious ones. Then there are the slower
songs like Here of all Places and suprise surprise that
literally gave me goose-bumps the first time I heard them,
more faster, 'happy' songs follow and the album is
concluded with the slower 'How Did I Sleep?' It is a nice
mix of deep, meaningful lyrics and great tunes. I have
nothing but praise for this album and cant wait to see it
live. Spread the word, Tree63 is back with some great
sounds behind them!
