Album Review

Here comes a band that is destined to become a house hold name.
This is their first major label release. It's packed with plenty
of hits. If their was a problem it's that they sound too much
like the golden boys of Coldplay. What I like more about The Fray
is that unlike Coldplay they are more willing to rock out.
For example they really use the soft to roar method great on the
song "Fall Away." And "Little House" never stops with the aerial
assault.

One has to admit the melodies are soaring and imaginative. Not
always happy and cheerful. Like on "Look After You", but at the
same time so addictive and real. The lyrics simple yet so
penetrating. "If there was a doubt, my love leans into me, this
most assuredly counts, she says most assuredly."

I'm not too much a fan of bands that sound too similar to other
bands. But in this case I say who cares. These guys are for real,
stop and listen you won't be sorry. The Fray seem to have the
sentimental heart strapping song recipe down tight. They hit you
in the heart whenever you are willing to stop and listen. I hope
millions get the chance to hear this over the top pop song album.
The songs maybe too short and calculated at times. But that never
stops the pure emotion of the songs from making their point. Thumbs
up for these guys, they are on their way....let's hope.
