Album Reviews
Jeremy
Camp makes no bones about his modern-rock influences.
Stay displays strong, unapologetic musical tips of the
hat to the likes of Creed and Dave Matthews as Camp wraps
his faith-inspired message in a common sounding yet pleasing
brand of gritty, blue-collar rock. While power rockers such
as 'Take My Life' flex their muscles, it's the driving
urgency and catchy chorus of 'Understand' and the smooth
balladry of the string-laden 'I Still Believe' that are most
appealing. Like fellow Indiana native John Mellencamp, Camp
deals head on with some tough issues, as evidenced by 'Walk
By Faith,' a moving testament to Camp's struggle with
accepting the death of his young wife, and 'I Know Your
Calling,' a pledge from a man struggling to hold on to faith
through tough times.

I've always been enamored by melodic lyrics that speak,
not only of you but to you. Jeremy Camp not only opens up
doors for great rock and ballads, but in actuality
ministers to the soul. The CD is called STAY, Jeremy
Camp's first and latest CD out from BEC recordings.
With a resounding voice and lyrics that speak of hope and
a close relationship with God, the songs in the album
brings you to a place that puts you in front of God's
throne. Most of the songs in STAY are prayers to God, but
all of them show the hope that we have in Him.
With a powerful testimony that Jeremy Camp has and a
relationship with God that grows more, STAY shows the
power of faith and how our only hope in life and in every
situation is God. With songs such as I Still Believe,
Breaking My Fall, All the Time, Understand, and Right
Here, shows how God is faithful in our lives. Take My
Life speaks about giving it all to God in a very powerful
sound. It all ends with a worship song entitled In Your
Presence that speaks about God's beauty and grace.
Jeremy Camp's sound is reminiscent of bands such as
Creed, Third Day, and Hootie and the Blowfish/ These are
mostly because of Camp's vocals that echoes with a loud
yet worshiping spirit.
This is the second in Camp's line of CD's. His first one
was out of an independent company, but now that he is
with BEC, we will definitely hear more and more of him.
