Album Review
Damian
Horne, for those of you used to front the the now defunct
Silage. He has now released his first solo
project. He has decided to leave the funk behind for
traditional worship and praise rock. I have to admit I
am disappointed by his decision. I'm not saying his
new direction has lead to a bad album. But
"Elemental Worship" is definitely kind of bland. I
don't feel as if he made is influences apparent on this
release. The album gets off to a good start with the
tracks "For You Alone" and "One More Song."
But after that I start to lose a little bit
of interest. His
vocal delivery is strong and confident, but the lyrics lack
creativity. I like that he is putting more of a
worship twist on them though. This album definitely missing
the bounciness of the Silage days.
So if you're looking for a good modern praise album
then you might want to check this one out if you are a big
fan of Damians or of Silage.
Otherwise you wouldn't be missing much by passing this one
by.
