Album Review

Apparently Kate Miner has been around for a long time. This is my first
exposure to her music. One thing I quickly notice upon listen, is that
her music is very passionate. From the opening song it's clear that the
listener is in for a good worshipful experience.

"Come to the Water" has to be one of the best worship songs I have heard
in awhile. It's one of those songs that will fill you up and leave you wanting
more. "Who Will Cry" is a slow burner about the pain we all endure through
out our lives. And how we feel God ignores our cries sometimes.

Other notable highlights include “The Cross” and “Prodigal Martha”.
Miner offers a good praise and worship experience for those who want
to reflect on the Lord and his love.

My biggest complaints are the upbeat rockers they seem really out of place
along side the ballads and mid-tempo rockers. Also the production is well
below par. On many songs her vocals are way to far up front in the mix.
And some of the music is drowned out in the background.

Don't get me wrong this album shines with moments of greatness. Well worth
a listen. Maybe you will find an easier time of getting passed the short comings.
