"Let's Not Forget The Story" is the first full
length
effort by
this worship band out of Colorado. Many of the songs are
easy
to follow along and sing to. One of the strengths of the
disc
is that they do a good job of not coming off too clichéd.
This effort was definitely born out of the many years of
concerts
and youth retreats. These guys have a heart for God that
is evident
through out all of the songs. The one downside to the
release for
people that are looking for worship songs to use in
corporate
worship will be disappointed that their are really none
to be found
here. Which isn't really a bad thing. One can sit down
and really stop and
think about God while listening to
this album. I would put these
guys in the
vein of say maybe Switchfoot or Chris Tomlin.
Which is quite a compliment
considering the weight of
those two artists.
Through and through the album has some good songs that
will grab a
hold of the listener. But I wouldn't say this will end up
being
one their best albums. But it's a step in the right
direction.
Once they find their own unique sound, I say watch out.
