Album Review
Sometimes it feels like we are force fed too much teen
pop.
It's nice to hear an album that doesn't fall into that
category.
If your looking for the later. Look no farther than
Always Loved You.
After one listen I knew I had heard something worth
while. Though
this outing may be fall a little short at times. It's
still a nice
surprise to stumble upon an album like this. You can tell
these guys
are searching for a unique sound to call all their own.
This effort
doesn't quite hit that mark. But still very fresh
sounding. From the
great pop chorus of "Yea Yea" to the to the great
melody of the title
track. This album is worth a looking into. Always
Loved You is
both achingly personal and colorful. A little too strong
on the
dosage of pop at times. There is only 6 songs. So you get
left with a
feeling of wanting more. I would have liked to
hear more guitar
at times, like on "I'll Be OK" for example.
This Dallas based pop/rock fivesome has a bright future
in front of
them. Well at least it sure seems like it. They seem to
be moving
in the right direction. I guess time will only tell.
